sEASC held for the first time at Trinity College / St James’ Hospital Dublin. The renowned student Emergency Abdominal Surgery Course (sEASC) was held for the first time at Trinity College / St James’ Hospital Dublin on 23rd February 2019 and was proclaimed an overwhelming success by its numerous medical student participants. The first course was held back in 2015, this particular meeting being the 12th overall.
sEASC curriculum focuses on the acute abdomen, in a multidisciplinary shared learning approach. It combines theory with practical cases and includes stimulating discussions on the common abdominal emergencies.
There was outstanding feedback from the participants who attended the 27th Emergency Abdominal Surgery Course in Krakow Poland on the 10th August 2019. This pre-course of the World Congress of Surgery was attended by participants from 9 countries.
